Lidocaine

PEDS - Lidocaine

ADULT:

Coarse VF / Pulseless Wide Complex Tachycardia:

1 mg/kg IV/IO, may repeat once SO, 0.5 mg/kg in approximately 3-5 minutes.

(Either Amiodarone or Lidocaine can be used for continued VF/Pulseless V-Tach)

Infusion for Pain in IO:

20 mg IO slow, may repeat once as SO.

PEDS:

Coarse VF / Pulseless Wide Complex Tachycardia:

1 mg/kg IV/IO, Max dose 100 mg, one time only.

(Either Amiodarone or Lidocaine can be used for continued VF/Pulseless V-Tach)

Infusion for pain in IO:

0.5 mg/kg IO slow, max of 20 mg.

INDICATIONS:

- To reduce pain prior to the infusion of fluids in an IO.

PRECAUTIONS:

- Given slowly over 1 minute.
