Rune is the most effective nonmem non deg armour. The second best is Granite Body, legs, sheild and helm. Which is mem, and requires to have 50 str. to weild. However its one of the largest armour pieces available perhaps even the largest. Therefore, it drains energy in a crazy way. Also, it looks ridiculous, and the entire set costs less than 500k and is mainly used by bots. Or so ive been told.

Then there's the fighter body and other gear you can find by playing mini-games. It's Dragon armour, which needs 60 def. If you can't afford chain bod or plate bod, which costs 4.5M-5.5M 9m-10m respectively you can make use of a rune body, with drag legs and medium helm.
